Day at the Beach

This last weekend was a full and fun weekend. The Eager's came down from Ohio to visit everyone up here. We had so much fun and the kids were so excited to see each other. Saturday we went to the Lake and spent the entire afternoon there. Hannah has found out she loves to swim and wants to take swimming lessons bad. Zach is a little more timid and stays to mostly making sand castles, although he has ventured out to getting his ankles atleast wet. Jakes LOVES the outside, I am afraid he might be just like Zach and never wanting to come inside. I am loving Michigan, the lakes are beautiful and makes a good day trip. There are TONS of beaches for kids to play and water galore. I am taking advantage of the water while we can, before the winter hits and the days of outside are gone for a LONG time. Anyways, after we left the Lake we headed home for a quick change of clothes and what we had hoped would be a small nap for the kids. They slept on the way home and woke up as soon as we got home and barely made it to the restaurant in time. We ate at Pei Wei's, which was AWESOME! I kept looking for Pay Day's, thinking that's a weird name for a Chinese Restaurant. We got home around 9:00 and the kids konked out. We had a great weekend with the Eager's and hope to see them soon again.

I have now decided that it might be time to cut Jake's mohawk. I can't committ myself to it yet, but I know the time is near. It is getting really long but I just love it, it's his signature. I can't go anywhere without atleast one person asking me how I style it. (Of course it's not styled, I can't get it to lay down). He just looks so cute with it, but I think in another month I will have to. I'll keep you posted.

Graduations

Okay so it is official, we have two graduates in the month of May, Jon and Hannah. Graduation was a pretty hectic time, between moving, graduation and everybody being in town, we were just excited to have each event pass behind us. It was a lot of fun though having everybody here and celebrate with us. Our second graduate was Hannah. Okay, so I know what you're thinking, pre-school is not really a REAL graduation, but to a 5 year old it is. Hannah was so excited to wear her cap and gown and sing us her songs. Her little program was adorable, below is a picture of her with her teachers.

Since I am beginning this blog, I figure I should also mention that we added a new member to our family. Jacob Thomas Williamson was born March 28, 2007 weighing a whopping 9lbs 5oz. He is now two months old and going on 15 1/2-16 pounds! He is such a CHUNKER! I laugh because Hannah was 17 pounds at a year old and Jake almost weighs as much as she did at 2 months! Zach is still just such a boy. He is daddy's little helper and really wants nothing to do with mom. He is constantly outside from 8:00 in the morning until naptime and then he heads back outside until dinner and bathtime.

Okay, so Jon has been after me to start blogging and I keep putting it off. To start things off, we have now officially moved into our new house. Did I say House?? Yes, we bought our first house, which I LOVE! It is so nice going from a little two bedroom apartment with three kids to a three bedroom house. We now live in Michigan where Jon is starting his podiatry residency at DMC. I miss Iowa a lot but luckily some of our friends from Med School moved here so we now know a few people here.
