It has taken me long enough

So, over a month has gone by since I have blogged. I still haven't put any Halloween pics yet, so
without further ado...

So, I didn't dress up Jake but oh well! The kids had ton of fun trick or treating. Hannah actually loved passing out the candy better than getting it! This month has been loads of fun. My parents came out for Thanksgiving and stayed for two weeks! We had a ball, and the kids were in HEAVEN. My dad came out and basically worked the entire time, he did tell me next time he came out to have a list for him to do to the house! Sounds like a good deal to me! Maybe I'll get to painting next time! Anyways, Thanksgiving was great! We had the Beaners and my parents over and we actually PLAYED A GAME! YEA!! The kids were worn out by the end and they fell asleep immediately after the Beans left. Here is a pic o f Jake, being himself. He is totally a momma's boy, and is going through separation anxiety really bad. I finally have been letting him cry through the night. He actually was doing a lot better but then more teeth started to pop through. Our biggest trial right now is Zach. He STILL doesn't sleep through the night. We lock him in his bedroom with a baby gate and he gets up about 4-5 times a night on a good night. We are losing patience with him and out of ideas. I do put him in time out at 3 am and he usually doesn't get up again until 6 but this isn't "curing" it because he does the same thing the next night. Any ideas people? Anyways, we have had a good time over here. I had a whole list in my head on what I would write on and I am drawing a blank. Here are a few random pics from the last few months!
!This is Zach helping me rake up leaves! He is a big helper. Here is our pumpkin carving skills!
Don't worry next time I won't take as long to blog! I better go get these kids in the bathtub!

Oh Bella, I get knots in my stomach when I hear of "older" kids still getting up throughout the night. And by then they are mobile. I feel so bad for you!

Bella, yay! I'm so glad you updated. It sounds like you are getting along well. I really don't have any tips for the sleeping thing. I don't know what you do to get a child that old to sleep through the night. I'm sorry you're having a rough time with it! Hang in there!

Hey Bella, I used the "No Cry Sleep Solution" book for my second child. He was about 13 months old and waking at least every hour. After the book he was sleeping through the night with in one week. I haven't used it for Kenny (my third) yet. He's extremely attached to the binky and for some reason I can't bare to take it away. I told him (and Joey) it would be gone on January 1st so expect some crying. Hopefully it won't take long for him to get over it.

Welcome back!! I have missed ya-
Your kids looked great for Halloween!! Boy with Zach I don't know what to tell ya. We used the baby gate with Ayden-but we had the tall one used for Dogs and he couldn't climb over it and we never went and got him back in bed so some mornings we found him on the floor but soon enough he got the hang of it. Sleeping on his bed was more comfortable. I hope you find a solution. I feel for you!! Glad to see you're back!!

I can't believe how big and how cute your kids are! We struggled at night with Parker too. Chris ended up switching the doorknob around so it locked from the outside. I know it sounds so cruel to lock him in, and I don't know if he is going to have some complex when he gets older, but it works for now. I can't tell you how much I miss you and wish our kids could "hang"...maybe someday. How wonderful this blogging thing is, right? Love ya!

Your kids are so cute! I love the picture of Jake on his tummy. He is adorable! Sorry about Zach not sleeping through the night. That would make things hard! Good luck!

I've missed ya, Blogger Buddy!! Oh, I am sooooo sorry!! That totally stinks about Zach! How in the world are you a nice mom the next morning?!? I know I wouldn't be. I am a FIRM believer in the book Baby Wise and I know there is one for toddlers about sleeping too. Good Luck and hopefully Good Night :)

It's great to see you doing well, your kids are hilarious, so cute!! I'm so glad you had fun with your parents, my dad is the same, he fixes everything when he comes. I guess it gives them something to do. How is your winter so far?

Bella, I have missed you! Glad that your blogging again and had such a good visit with your parents. I am sorry about Zach, I feel for you. Things get ugly in our house if I don't get sleep!

Yeah it is about time you blogged. As for the sleeping thing I've never had that problem (so far) but my friend got one of those cat noise boxes. It's designed to keep cats out of certain places by making a loud noise when the cat walks in to the laser area. She got one and put it under her sons bed. Now he is scared to get out of bed if the "noiser" is on. She doesn't even turn it on anymore. The down sound is it will wake up everyone in the house until he gets the hang of it. And he might need much therepy later in life. Take care.

Bella cute pics. I love Halloween and now it is over and Christmas to. Where is the time going. It makes me sad until Ryan reminds me we are on a three year count down. About Zach I agree with Aimee. With Spencer we put him down and did not go in until at least 6am the next morning. He now sleeps great at night it is that nap thing that is our problem. Good Luck.
